Surf Party
What's up dudes and dudettes? A surf party is totally going down on Venice Beach. We're going to be riding waves all night until the lifeguards and cops bust us.
The shows going down at four until whenever. We're meeting by the rocks underneath the boardwalk. We need to find the perfect spot for the most gnarly waves.
The dress code is strictly bath suits and surfboards. Bring a pair of comfortable sneakers just in case we have to run from the cops . Longboards are definitely a need to dip out faster.
My boy is djing strictly Californian alternative music and beats we can chill to. The D.J is also holding a surfing competition. The winner wins a brand new surfboard and a thousand dollars cash. Totally sick dudes!
PiƱa coladas and hot dogs grilled on the fire. We can even fish for an awesome seafood dinner.
There will be alcohol but I highly advise that if you want to catch some waves.
This party is going to be the biggest wave on the block. Don't be lame and miss out on this! It would be a bummer if you wiped out and didn't chill out with your dudes.

Open Letter to Movie Texters
December 7, 2014
Dear Movie Texters:
Please turn off your cellular device while the movie is playing! There is a reason why they have signs placed around the theatre and a commercial before the movie clearly stating to put the phone away. You are the people who ruin this experience for everyone. Not only are you distracting others away from the movie, you are being flat out selfish.
The brightness of your phone overpowers the movie screen. It's like I have a constantly glare on the corners of my eyes. I feel like I need protective glasses to avoid the lighting in a dark room.
The click-clacking of your fingers rapidly gliding across the screen to each letter is an extreme annoyance. I get very agitated after the first couple of seconds. If it's that important texting your friends or family members take your cell phone outside away from the people who are actually paying attention.
The laugher and comments when you receive a call is obnoxious and rude. If the call is not important then wait until after. If it's that important take your cell phone outside away from the people who are actually paying attention.
I can't stress it enough, every time I go to the movies I always see at least three people around me texting. I don't think that constant chirping every time you receive a text message is a bird flying around the theatre. Is this a new trend?
People pay good money to go out and watch an enjoyable movie. If you're not interested in the movie it doesn't mean others aren't. Texting can wait, it's not going anywhere. So please people the next time you text just think about others before yourself.

Informal response "Digital vs Paper"
Digital has many benefits in our society today. In Brandon's blog post, "Digital vs Paper," demonstrates how he thinks digital is more efficient and how he is a believer of technology. He states different arguments on how digital will replace print in the upcoming years. Every point is right on. Digital is the future of print.
Digital is advancing over time periods while print is simply staying the same. Brandon is clearly stating "Digital is more helpful when looking to find an archive and ages better than paper" (Brandon). Digital ages with improvement and print ages over time with outdated information.
Brandon makes a strong argument about how versatile technology is and how limited print is.
Digital contains so much more information than a print source obtains. He states, "Digital will continue to change and serve many purposes as paper will stay the same" (Brandon). Information on the internet can be modified so easily while altering print can be a long and tedious process.
Print materials causes pollution while newspapers and magazines are thrown out daily. The author states, "Paper is used and thrown out everyday while a phone or any electronic device can be used for years" (Brandon), which is true because people use technology devices for years until they upgrade or need a change of what they have. Pollution is a way bigger problem than digital consuming energy.
Everyone should open their eyes to the possibilities that digital expresses. Print is a thing of the past while digital is improving our abilities and more efficient to use in our everyday lives. As the world becomes dependent on technology, the advancements will improve and have unlimited possibilities.

Digital vs. Print
Digital is the new and improve form of print. In "Why Digital is Better than Print", Dan Blank explains how technology is a better way of using print. Technology expresses Freedom of Speech, the act of stating what one feels or thinks is needed to be stated. Digital is the future of searching information and obtaining businesses.
Digital is now easily obtained in sleek compact objects that can hold more information than a textbook. Instead of only reading what is present in the newspaper, a person can use their digital device to search more information on the topic. Obtaining an iPhone can be "– a stealthy way to consume media" (3), according to Dank Blank. Users can obtain all the print information upholds in a smaller compact devices such as phones.
The internet can change information in a heartbeat while it takes an extremely long process to change the text of print such as textbooks, magazines, or newspapers. "Because digital media is inherently connected to services and new applications – each piece of information can find itself being stretched and morphed in new ways to solve a need."(2), information is always be updated or changed by current events so it is salient to inform the reader of the accurate information. The world is always changing so it is important to be informed about the data and express it in everyday life.
Technology utilizes energy while print consumes paper material which causes littering and the cutting down of trees. According to Blank "Digital certainly consumes energy, but the inherent waste is not as evident, as millions of copies of a single piece of content can be replicated and spread across the world in moments." (7), which everyone should agree with. Technology does not create waste, a digital device can store more information than a print like material and not be thrown out in the garbage.
Digital will eventually replace print by the convenience, energy, and time that it consumes. People are getting more tech savvy and becoming more dependent on technology. As the world becomes more dependent on technology, it will keep on improving for people's needs. The world will always ameliorate technology every year in bigger and more efficient ways.
